Collaboration Without Boundaries: Serving North County Together

A few months back, we started talking with the Lucky Duck Foundation about taking on the distribution of sustenance bags throughout North County. Recently, we took a big step forward as we began building a partnership with the Brother Benno Foundation.

This is the kind of stuff that gets me excited. It’s what can happen when organizations stop worrying about who gets the credit and start opening their doors, their resources, and their hearts to one another. We all bring something different to the table, and when we do that together, the people we serve are the ones who benefit.

I also wanna give a big shout out to Share a Plate, Feeding All God’s Children, Tommy, Lived Experience, Gleaning Fields, the Oceanside Navigation Center, the Lucky Duck Foundation for continuing to supply snacks and water, and of course Humanity Showers. Without them believing in the vision and helping make our warehouse possible, none of this would even be taking shape.

Something else I don’t want to go unnoticed is that these partnerships aren’t limited by city lines. This isn’t just about Oceanside. It’s Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, Escondido, Valley Center, and the communities in between. Homelessness doesn’t stop at a city boundary, so why should compassion?

I really believe this is what collaboration is supposed to look like. Not uniformity. Not everybody doing the same thing. But each of us bringing what we’ve been given, trusting one another, and together creating something none of us could ever do alone.
