This short story reminds us that for too many kids, Christmas morning happens in the front seat of a car, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. We’re stepping in to make sure every child wakes up to joy, wonder, and the Christmas they deserve.

Let me take you back a bit. The Lucky Duck Foundation helped us launch and sustain our wound care unit.

A while back, Drew Mosher, Lucky Duck’s CEO, reached out and invited us to their annual fundraiser, the Showcase Soiree, their biggest
event of the year. He said he wanted to make up for the “inconvenience” of filming a video about Convicted 4 Christ Ministries. (Between you and me, the real inconvenience was probably for the poor editors who had to condense my nine and a half hours of rambling into ninety seconds.)

On a morning walk, I found myself choosing where to place my focus—on the darkness and danger along the path, or on the beauty and presence of God woven throughout. Even in challenging times, I’m learning to seek out the “There’s God” moments in my day.
