My testimony is one of persistence, grace, and what consistent love can do in the middle of struggle.
I spent eight years living on the streets. During that time, I came across a lot of organizations offering help, but none stayed as consistent as Convicted 4 Christ Ministries.
For about three years, no matter where I was mentally or physically, they kept showing up. My story really began while I was pregnant and living out in the bush. I didn’t have stability, and I was battling addiction even during my pregnancy. I would see the team every Wednesday at the showers in Oceanside. At first, they were just familiar faces, but over time, it became something I couldn’t avoid, even when I tried.
They never stopped showing up, never stopped speaking life into me, and never gave up on me, even when I walked away from programs again and again.
Through Convicted for Christ, I was provided showers, support, and most importantly, what I’ve come to know as the love of Jesus.
It all slowly began to take root in my life. Even when I resisted, that consistency mattered more than I realized at the time.
Today, by the grace of God and the continued support of the ministry, I am one year clean.
I am now housed, employed, and have custody of both of my children, who I am raising. What once felt impossible has become my reality.
This journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. And in a way I never expected, I now have the opportunity to give back, volunteering with Convicted for Christ Ministries and Humanity Showers, serving others who are walking a path I know all too well.
I know without a doubt that the consistent love, faith, and dedication shown to me through Convicted 4 Christ played a major role in saving my life.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
